ROE 46 MINI-GRANT PROGRAM

Spring Application Period

2008-2009

$250 (MAX.) AVAILABLE FOR INDIVIDUAL CREATIVE PROJECTS

To:        Teachers in ROE #46

From:    The ROE #46 Advisory Board

Topic:   2008-2009 Mini-Grants

The Regional Office is offering an opportunity for an individual to receive up to $250; or, a group to receive up to $750 in the form of a mini-grant.  Have you been personally funding some special student project or creative classroom unit?  Has your creativity been thwarted by out-of-pocket expenses?  Has your school or a subunit (grade level, department, etc) considered a cooperative mini-grant effort? Could some of our money make your idea work?    READ ON!

In the last ten years, the ROE has awarded over $32,000 to fully or partially fund 130 projects.  If interested, you must complete a short application form describing your idea, explaining how it will be aligned with the Illinois Learning (or Early Learning) Standards, and listing specifically how the money you are requesting will be spent.  The application must be received by June 16th, and the recipients will be notified by July 7th.

Each former recipient submitted a required summary report at the conclusion of his/her project.  These are available at our office if you would like to peruse some of them.  Attached is a list of former recipients of mini-grants.  Please avail yourself of the opportunity to contact any of these former recipients for grant writing tips or if you think their projects could be adapted or shared with your classes.  (That is part of the application agreement.)

This Year only online submission applications will be accepted.
